B Grade kicks A Grade’s butt and take 6 out of the top 10 spots

The Wombat is quite an honest little marsupial, and must admit that he was disappointed with the last race of the series. A Grade was nowhere, and with that it was all a bit of an anti-climax. Grenfell would have won the series anyway, but it would have been much better to see him in the final sprint, rather than crossing the line in 35th place.

That makes B-Grade big winners for yesterday, and pushed a bunch of C-Graders way up the ladder.

With B-Grade kicking A-Grade butt, it meant that Peppard won Kelly, and finished in 2nd place for the series. Well done John. The Wombat salutes you. The Wombat agrees with everyone else: A Grade for you next year.

Nathan Bonarius kicked A Grade butt in his race to take 4th place. Which he did. Well done Nathan.

And then Warren Doyle and Kevin Black moved up a massive 5 spots each to end in 5th and 6th place. Gary Millburn stormed up a massive 22 spots from position 30 to finish in 8th spot. The Wombat bets he did not expect to do that well at 6pm yesterday. Finally Nicolas D’Ambrosio shot up 14 spots from #24 for a top 10 finish.

All of this was at the cost of Sam Rutherford, Brock Roberts, Nash Kent, Stew Campbell, and Brad Mills. In fact, Kent, Campbell and Mills missed out on a top 10 finish thanks to A-Grade’s performance yesterday.

That means of the top 10, B-Grade to 6 of the spots.

Congratulations to Michael Atchison for a well-deserved C-Grade win. The Wombat salutes you. Well done also to Graham Ferguson who moved into top 15 after a great race yesterday.

A big final push for Daniel Laroche saw him climb 13 spots to position 16. Similarly Christopher James and Barry Mourad secured top 25 positions thanks to A-Grade’s choke.

Winner of the race, Adam Goc shot up 38 positions to #27, thanks to his win. You should race more often next year Adam, and you’ll do better in the final results.

The Wombat also wants to salute John Peppard, Liam Kelly, Julian Hamill and Brian Fish for racing in all 12 races of the series. The Wombat thinks there should be extra points for that.

The Wombat thinks it was very nice of John Sunde to sponsor prizes. The Wombat thinks that John Sunde may be nicer than he thought in the past.

Finally, the Wombat’s big prediction this week is a safe one: Next year will be even bigger and better. The Wombat is excited!

The Wombat has spoken.
